D1.1 Project Management Procedures and Communication Tools

Project Management Procedures and Communication Tools: This deliverable describes the communication tools to be used in the project including the Project Portal: (a collaborative workspace that will provide a consistent mechanism for sharing project status and documentation with all project participants) and Project Distribution Lists.

D1.2 Period 1 (M06) Project Report including: Technical, Management, Financial (partial - effort) Report.

This report consists of a Technical / Management Report that includes the work completed in the reporting period, major results and events, problems and delays encountered, corrective actions taken as well as an update of measurable intermediate and final objectives. The report also contain a Dissemination Plan consisting of target metrics for number of Press Releases, social media redirects, rss feed subscribers, etc. This report does not include the Financial Report consisting of the Financial Statement (Form C) nor does it include any Certificate on the Financial Statement (CFS); however, it will provide an overview of resource consumption to date.

D1.3 Period 1 (M12) Project Report: Technical, Management, Financial (full), Dissemination Reports

This report (established in Art. II.4) was drawn up according to a template supplied by the EC. It consists of a Publishable Summary as well as a Technical Report that includes the work completed in the reporting period, major results and events, problems and delays encountered, corrective actions taken as well as an update of measurable intermediate and final objectives. The report is delivered with a Financial Report consisting of the Financial Statement (Form C) as well as any required Certificate on the Financial Statement (CFS) from each of the beneficiaries. The report also contains a Dissemination Report consisting of: a list of peer-reviewed scientific publications accepted for publication in the reporting period – distinguishing between a) journal articles and b) conference proceedings and multi-author books – together with their details/references, the date of acceptance, the dissemination principle (directly open to the public or following the embargo period) and the repository used.

As same as Month 6 Periodic report, this document is drawn up according to a template supplied by the EC. D2.1 Public Website and online community

This deliverable consists of a content-rich website that is "accessible" to an interested but not specialized audience. Includes: project overview, progress highlights (up-to-date info on intermediate / final progress reports and publications), easy access to all public deliverables, all project-related publications, blog / RSS feed. The website must comment on technological developments demonstrate the importance of or open opportunities for the technologies developed under the project. It will be registered for a minimum of 4yrs. under the .eu domain: www.rethinkbig-project.eu.

D2.2 Report on European Big Data Competencies and Expert Selection

D2.2) Report on European Big Data Competencies and Expert Selection: In this report, we identify all European Big Data competencies via a survey of European companies (looking closely at SMEs) as well as all projects, organizations and initiatives that bring together research and industrial Big Data communities (i.e. Graphene Flagship, Human Brain Flagship, NESSI, ETP4HPC, EDF, Big Project). We use these competencies to select a group of technology and business experts that represents the most critical Big Data application domains and technology providers in Europe. Moreover, we describe our criteria and process for making the final selection. To the extent possible, we will provide this list of experts as an open data asset according to the suggested data structure https://joinup.eceuropa.eu/asset/all.

D2.3 EC Fact Sheet / Flyer

This Fact Sheet consists primarily of a project publishable summary suitable for web publishing. It outlines project rationale, defines the project technical baseline, explains the intended target groups and application domains as well as provides progress updates for intermediate and final output. It will be used to disseminate the project by the project team and the EC and must be revised in the Periodic Reports.

D2.4 Initial Press Release(s) / Report

The consortium issued an initial press release within one month of the start of the project in addition to issuing press releases on all important milestones and events. The press release targets the local or national press of the partner entrusted with this task. It describes the goals of the project in simple, jargon free language and whenever possible highlight the benefits to the region/country and the importance of the local partner being part of an EU consortium. It is delivered to a broad group of decision makers CEO / CTOs at relevant companies.

D3.1 Applications Challenges Report on Critical Success Factors (based on initial analysis m03-m08)

This report, based on the outcomes of the Working Group Meetings, maps potential technology advancements and business opportunities over the next 10 years and includes a review of cross-cutting issues and co-design opportunities with a view toward what is strategically possible across the entire spectrum of European Industry. Moreover, the reports includes substantiated quantitative projections for the growth rate and absolute volumes of data and costed performance parameters, e.g. Billion records sorted per 100€ expected in each of the areas of the Application Challenges.
